Scope
This policy describes how this website works, and it covers only the pages you are reading now. It does not cover the Isles mobile app, the Isles Network WeChat mini program, or the Isles Guided Program. This document describes only this website, so please do not read it as a statement about any of those. If you are looking for the privacy policy of the Isles mobile app, this is not it.
What we collect
This website is a set of static files. There is no account system, no login, no form, no comment field, and no search box. No code of ours runs on a server when you visit: every page was generated ahead of time and is delivered to you as a finished file. Because of that, this website collects no personal information from you at all. We do not ask for your name, your email address, or anything else, and there is nothing here capable of sending such information to us.
Cookies and analytics
This website sets no cookies. It writes nothing to your browser's local storage or session storage. It runs no analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixel, and no visitor-tracking script of any kind. It loads no scripts, fonts, images, or stylesheets from another company's servers. This site does load JavaScript from its own address, which draws the pages and moves you between them; it stores nothing and contacts no one else. Only one part of it looks at anything about you: the root address reads your browser's language setting so that it can send you to the English or the Chinese version. That check happens entirely inside your browser. Nothing is stored, and nothing is reported back to us.
Server logs
Every request a browser makes to any website carries certain information with it: the network address it came from, the time, the page requested, and a description of the browser. Whatever server delivers this site therefore receives that information, in the same way that every web server does. That is a property of how the web works rather than something this site adds. This site's own code does not read, store, combine, or analyse those records, and we do not use them to build a profile of you.
Email you send us
This website itself cannot receive a message. There is no form here, so email is the only route to us, and it is one you choose to take. Once a contact email address is published on our Contact page and you write to us, we keep your message and your address for as long as we need them in order to reply to you and to keep a record of the exchange. We use them to reply and for nothing else. We do not add you to a mailing list without asking, and we do not sell or rent your details to anyone.
Third parties
The only outside party involved in showing you this page is the company that hosts the files: Cloudflare. Cloudflare serves the static files that make up this site, so its infrastructure receives the same standard request metadata described in the Server logs section above. Apart from the host, no third party is involved. We share nothing with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics providers, because there is nothing for us to share.
Changes to this policy
If this website ever changes in a way that affects a statement above, for example if analytics were added, this page is updated in the same change that adds it and the date at the top moves. We do not expect you to keep checking back. We expect this page to be accurate.
